Can I get an IIM or IIT with 50–60 percentile?

Not in the General, EWS or OBC categories. For CAT 2025, even the newest IIMs (CAP 2026) shortlisted General candidates at 95 percentile and OBC/EWS at 81. SC candidates need about 66 for CAP; ST and PwD candidates are shortlisted from 42, so a 50–60 percentile can convert to an IIM call for ST/PwD applicants only.
