Confirm before you register. The IBSAT registration portal (admissions.ibsindia.org) was open on 20 October 2026 but showed no dates. Two education sites report the window-wise schedule below. Older pages (Careers360, 26 Aug 2026; IMS, May 2026) still say “third week of December” for the last date and “first week of January 2027” for results. When you register, the date shown for your chosen test window in the portal is the one that counts.

“Reported” means MBAUniverse (updated 22 September 2026) and Careers360 (updated 23 September 2026) give the same dates. Briefing and interview timing is from Careers360 only. Every test day is a Saturday or Sunday, so you can pick a window after your CAT on 29 November.

No negative marking changes strategy: attempt every question, because a blank scores the same as a wrong answer. Careers360 also reports that IBS accepts CAT, XAT, GMAT or NMAT scores instead of IBSAT, with the last date to apply on one of those scores in the last week of January 2027. If that holds, a CAT taker need not sit IBSAT at all.

IBSAT is the admission test for ICFAI Business School campuses, and only a small number of institutes in our directory list it, so treat it as a targeted route rather than a general fallback. The IBSAT portal describes it as the gateway to nine IBS campuses (Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Dehradun, Gurgaon, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune); fees and placements differ by campus, so compare the campus you would actually join.
