Is it worth the fee?
NDIM’s cutoff has drifted upward as its NIRF rank improved, and its fee has risen with it — figures below ₹12 lakh that you will find on aggregator pages are from older batches. At ₹13.8 lakh against a ₹10 LPA average the ratio is 0.73, which is acceptable rather than outstanding for Delhi; JIMS Rohini at ₹10.8 lakh for the same ₹10 LPA is the direct comparison worth making.

Admission process and what actually decides your seat
At this tier the entrance score is a gate rather than the decider. Published selection weightages across comparable institutes put the test at 20–45 per cent of the composite, the personal interview and GD/WAT at 30–45 per cent, academics at 10–25 per cent and work experience or diversity at 5–15 per cent. A candidate at the bottom of the 60–80 band with strong academics and a good interview regularly beats someone ten percentile points higher.
- Percentile: clear the 60 floor first — below it, applications are usually screened out before the interview stage.
- Alternate exams: XAT, CMAT, MAT, GMAT, ATMA are accepted, and the cutoffs on those are often a few points friendlier than the CAT one.
- Academics: 70 per cent and above through Class X, XII and graduation is a real advantage at this level.
- Work experience: even 12 months of relevant work moves the composite meaningfully.
Frequently asked questions
What CAT percentile does NDIM require?
NDIM admits in the 60–80 percentile band, with the institute describing a typical range of 60–80 for shortlisting. It also accepts XAT, CMAT, MAT, ATMA and GMAT, so a weaker CAT can be offset by a stronger alternative score.
Is NDIM worth ₹13.75 lakh?
Its average of ₹10 LPA against a ₹13.8 lakh fee gives a ratio of 0.73 — acceptable for a NIRF-86 Delhi institute but not the best in the city. JIMS Rohini reports the same ₹10 LPA on a ₹10.8 lakh fee. Compare the audited placement reports of both before deciding.
Is NDIM a good college for placements?
It reported 504 of 505 students placed for the 2025 batch with a ₹10 LPA average and a ₹24 lakh high. The recruiter base is BFSI, consulting and analytics, drawing on its Delhi location. Ask for the median rather than the average — it is the more honest number at any institute of this size.
Sources & methodology
Cutoffs are the published shortlisting percentile where the institute publishes one, and otherwise the band in which it actually admits, taken from institute disclosures and the portals below. Fees are total two-year programme fees excluding hostel unless stated; placement figures are the latest institute-reported averages. Cross-checked against NIRF 2025 on 4 September 2026. Always confirm against the institute’s current admission brochure before paying any fee.
