BBAU and the University of Lucknow list CUET-PG only, so they are not CAT-alternative options for MAT, CMAT or XAT takers. See every exam still open or the full 2027 admission deadline calendar.
Frequently asked questions
Can I get an MBA in Lucknow without CAT?
Yes. 4 of the 4 colleges we list in Lucknow name at least one other test. Each has its own cut-off, so check the institute’s admission notice.
Which exams do MBA colleges in Lucknow accept instead of CAT?
The table above shows the count for each test — MAT, CMAT, XAT, NMAT, CUET-PG, ATMA.
Which non-CAT test can I still register for in October 2026?
NMAT registration is open until 25 October 2026 (tests 2 November to 20 December), but only Amity Lucknow among our four Lucknow colleges lists NMAT. MAT (December session, registration to 14 or 21 December) and XAT (registration to 6 December, exam 3 January 2027) cover both Amity and Jaipuria Lucknow.
Is MBA admission without any entrance exam possible?
Legitimate AICTE-approved institutes admit through a named test and selection process. An offer of admission with no test in exchange for money is a red flag; verify approval on the AICTE website first.
Before you pay anything: check that the college is AICTE-approved and know the refund rules.
