What to check on your admit card
- Your name and photograph match your identity document.
- The test city is the one you chose (or changed in the correction window).
- Your slot and reporting time, and the exam-day instructions printed on it.
- Any discrepancy — raise it through the official CAT website as soon as you spot it rather than on exam day.
The exact shift timings are on the admit card itself; do not rely on a forwarded message for them. If something on it is wrong, see what to do now that the correction window has closed.
When is the CAT 2026 result?
The official CAT notification states the result will be declared “by the first week of January 2027.” That is the only confirmed wording. Some sites report an expected date of 23 December 2026, based on past-year timing — that date is not official and we are not publishing it as confirmed.

CAT 2026 exam day: slots and what to carry
CAT 2026 is on 29 November in three slots of 120 minutes each (40 minutes per section): 8:30 to 10:30 AM, 12:30 to 2:30 PM and 4:30 to 6:30 PM. Reporting times are not consistent across the sources we checked, so do not plan around a number you read here. Your admit card prints the exact reporting and gate-closing time for your centre, and that is the one that counts.
- Carry a printed admit card and the original photo ID named on it.
- Do a dry run to the centre a few days before, since centres can be in a different part of the city.
- Check the prohibited-items list on the admit card; the centre provides the rough-work material.
- Sleep matters more than one last mock on the night before.
Once you know your score, the rank to percentile calculator and the college predictor show where it lands.
Registrations fell this year; here is what that does and does not change for low-percentile candidates.
