ITM Business School: CAT Cutoff, Fees, Placements & Admission 2026
ITM Business School admits in the 50–78 percentile CAT band for the 2026-28 batch. Total two-year fee ₹13.5 L, reported average placement 8.7 LPA, highest 21 LPA. Not in the NIRF 2025 top 100. Also accepts XAT, NMAT, CMAT, MAT, ATMA, MAH-CET.
ITM’s Navi Mumbai campus is unusual in admitting across an exceptionally wide band — its finance specialisation opens from around 50 percentile while other streams shortlist considerably higher. That flexibility is the reason it appears on low-CAT lists at all.

Is it worth the fee?
The fee-to-outcome maths needs care here. At ₹13.5 lakh against an ₹8.7 LPA average the ratio is 0.64, which is below what SIESCOMS (₹10 lakh, ₹8.8 LPA, ratio 0.88) delivers in the same city. ITM’s argument is its corporate-immersion programming and its exam flexibility rather than raw ROI.

Admission process and what actually decides your seat
At this tier the entrance score is a gate rather than the decider. Published selection weightages across comparable institutes put the test at 20–45 per cent of the composite, the personal interview and GD/WAT at 30–45 per cent, academics at 10–25 per cent and work experience or diversity at 5–15 per cent. A candidate at the bottom of the 50–78 band with strong academics and a good interview regularly beats someone ten percentile points higher.
- Percentile: clear the 50 floor first — below it, applications are usually screened out before the interview stage.
- Alternate exams: XAT, NMAT, CMAT, MAT, ATMA, MAH-CET are accepted, and the cutoffs on those are often a few points friendlier than the CAT one.
- Academics: 70 per cent and above through Class X, XII and graduation is a real advantage at this level.
- Work experience: even 12 months of relevant work moves the composite meaningfully.
Frequently asked questions
What is the CAT cutoff for ITM Business School?
ITM admits across roughly 50–78 percentile depending on specialisation, with finance opening at the lower end. It also accepts XAT, NMAT, CMAT, MAT, ATMA and MAH-CET, which is one of the widest exam baskets of any Mumbai PGDM.
Is ITM Navi Mumbai worth ₹13.5 lakh?
Its ₹8.7 LPA average gives a ratio of 0.64 — workable but not strong. SIESCOMS in the same city reports ₹8.8 LPA on a ₹10 lakh fee. If cost is your binding constraint, compare those two directly and ask both for audited reports.
Does ITM accept MAH-CET?
Yes, alongside CAT, XAT, NMAT, CMAT, MAT and ATMA. For Maharashtra-domiciled candidates the MAH-CET route through CAP rounds is usually the cheaper door into Mumbai MMS programmes generally — see our Mumbai city page for how that works.
Sources & methodology
Cutoffs are the published shortlisting percentile where the institute publishes one, and otherwise the band in which it actually admits, taken from institute disclosures and the portals below. Fees are total two-year programme fees excluding hostel unless stated; placement figures are the latest institute-reported averages. Cross-checked against NIRF 2025 on 4 September 2026. Always confirm against the institute’s current admission brochure before paying any fee.
