Cheapest MBA Colleges in Lucknow 2026: Low Fees and the ₹1 Lakh Seats
Our directory lists four MBA colleges in Lucknow, and they split sharply. Two public universities charge ₹1 lakh and ₹1.2 lakh in total fees, both admit at 50 to 65 percentile, and both report a ₹5 lakh average placement. The two private colleges charge ₹9.4 lakh and ₹14.8 lakh. The catch for the cheap pair: both name CUET-PG, not CAT, as the way in.

The ₹1 lakh seats
Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU) charges ₹1 lakh for the whole programme and reports a ₹5 lakh average placement, which is five times the fee. The University of Lucknow charges ₹1.2 lakh for the same ₹5 lakh placement, about 4.2 times the fee. Both admit in the 50 to 65 percentile band.
The route in is CUET-PG, the national postgraduate entrance test run by NTA. It is not CAT, and it isn’t a UP state test either. If all you have is a CAT score, check with the university whether it counts for MBA admission before you plan around these seats. Our data lists CUET-PG only, and we don’t have the next cycle’s dates, so look at NTA’s CUET (PG) notice.
What the private pair is for
Amity Lucknow (₹9.4 lakh, 60 to 75 percentile, ₹5.5 lakh placement) and Jaipuria Lucknow (₹14.8 lakh at campus level, 55 to 70 percentile, ₹8.8 lakh placement) both accept XAT, MAT and CMAT (Amity also takes NMAT, Jaipuria ATMA). They cost roughly eight to fifteen times the public fee, and an average first-year package covers only about 60% of the fee in either case. Paying that can make sense for the brand, the campus or a route that doesn’t depend on CUET-PG, but it should be a decision you make knowingly.
If neither fits
Lucknow is a short list. Widen to the rest of the state: Uttar Pradesh has its own mix of university departments with UPTAC or CUET-PG routes, and nearby cities such as Kanpur, Varanasi and Gorakhpur have their own pages. The sub-₹2 lakh list shows every cheap seat in our directory and the test it needs.
Before you pay anyone
Verify that the institute is recognised, and know what a college may and may not keep if you withdraw. How to check AICTE approval and the refund rules take about ten minutes.
